The Jamaicans Famous Native Choir (12 in all) including Marie Lawrence who had arrived in Britain in 1906, presented a summer season on Mumbles Pier, Swansea, singing American and Jamaican Secular and Sacred Music. The Choir was active during the 1920s and Marie Lawrence became active in films during the 1930s. |
